This is cabbage being grown for seed.  Many crops are grown for seed in our valley.  That means we get to appreciate all the flowering fields.

I love the fact that teacher Lori Stiles planned and built a long house in her classroom with her 3rd grade students. The students not only got to practice their measuring and design skills and learn about local tribes, they got to use POWER TOOLS! I am sure that this lesson will live on much longer than page 37 in the workbook.

Erik texted me last night to tell me that there was a field of yellow flowers with a barn that I needed to see. Wasn't the best place to stop, but indeed he had passed a scene he knew I would want to photograph. I love that my challenged has also trained Erik's eyes to be on constant watch for beauty all around.
