Gray day today. After all the bold vibrance of my Seattle photos this weekend. It was hard to think of what I could do for photos today. Decided to check out the Discovery Garden. It is pretty much asleep for the winter, but I did find some neat seed pods and buds. Oh and there were plenty of bunnies hopping around as well. You have to look a lot closer at this time of year on days like this. Looking closer, I saw a shot that reminded me of my sister. I know for sure that if she were walking through the garden, she would have spotted this hidden treasure as well.

11-28-10 The Red Hall
Erik and I had a fun time in Seattle today. We went on a photo tour around town with visits to Gasworks Park, Smith Tower, the International District, the Central Library and of course, Pike Place Market.
This photo is in the red hall in the Seattle Central Library. This whole building is a work of art with great angles, colors and viewpoints.
I took lots of photos and will be posting them in the near future.

11-27-10 Blue Reflections
I've noticed that if there is blue in the sky, it catches my eye. This morning, I saw the first hints of blue in the sky after many days of gray. Had to take a photo.

11-24-10 I Forgot the Green Beans
I forgot the green beans when I so brilliantly went shopping before the rush last week. So, I braved Safeway today. Wow! Lots of people and lots of food.

11-23-10 Snowy Garden Frog
Very cold and icy here, but not really a lot of snow. Will save my snowy landscape photos for when the snow completely blankets the grass. This guy peeking out through the snow did catch my attention though.

11-22-10 Fall Snow
Thought we had missed the snow, but it started coming down once I got to work. Still not a huge accumulation, but with the very cold temperatures, it made for icy conditions. Drove home for lunch and then walked back to work. I am a wimp when it comes to driving in the snow.

11-21-10 Hawk
Luckily I saw this guy on a deserted road, because when I saw him, I stopped in the middle of the road, rolled down my window and pointed my camera. Pretty speedy.

11-19-10 Stormy Skies
We had our first very little bit of snow today. Not much and it didn't stick. But the sky sure looked stormy. Cold and snowy weather expected for the weekend.

11-17-10 Bent Out of Shape
The weather today was definitely the top story. Saw lots of evidence of wind as flags flapped, leaves swirled and hats got away. We have lots of large limbs down around our house. There was a big tree down, downtown. Not sure what is going on with this pole. I think it is about ready to snap.

11-16-10 Morning Orchard
I was glad that I got up early enough to get some photos in Wenatchee this morning. After my meeting, it was mad rush against the dark and weather to get over the pass. I appreciated the beautiful sunlight. The light was so vivid and beautiful.

11-15-10 Early Morning River Walk
In Wenatchee, Washington today. My meeting was next to the Confluence State Park where the Wenatchee and Columbia Rivers come together. I got to my meeting early an took a nice walk along a nature trail. Beautiful way to start my day.

11-14-10 Apple Orchard at Sunset in Peshastin
Very gray and soggy day in Western Washington. Actually thought that I wouldn't see the sun today. I drove through rain and clouds and over the pass going to a meeting in Wenatchee. Once over the pass, Wallah! Blue skies just in time for sunset.

11-13-10 Numbered Days
Today I went out hoping to find some swans. All the swans were too far away. But I did get to see these not so wild Tom Turkeys. I am afraid their days are numbered.

11-12-10 Yellow Wreck With Bath Tub
Always amazed that I can find new, very old things to photograph in the same places I have looked hundreds of times before. I just have to look a little harder in the same spots and there is always more to see.

11-11-10 Lincoln Theater
Roswell and I walked downtown this morning. We were looking for facades for the Dailyshoot photo challenge. I love the look of the Lincoln Theater, but it is almost impossible to get a good photo. So I just went for a weird angle.

11-10-10 Red Reflection
Gorgeous day today and I was able to finish work before dark. I saw swans flying overhead this morning so I went looking for swans for my photo of the day since it is a sign of the season. Didn't get any close shots of the swans, but Mount Baker was showing her stuff so I had fun taking some photos with the mountain.

11-09-10 First Snow at Sunset
Was racing the sun to get a photo today. Looked up in the foothills, and not only was there a dusting of snow, but the light of the setting sun in the West hitting the hills to the East was really beautiful. I raced to find a place to take a photo without buildings in the way.

11-08-10 New Look for Old Town
They are building a new flood wall in Mount Vernon and along with it, a nice walk way along the river. Not quite open yet, but the lights are in place. I look forward to having a new place to walk the pooch.

11-07-10 Lazy Tree
This old tree doesn't seem to know that it is supposed to be reaching to the sky. It just crawls across the ground.

11-03-10 Framed in Fall
This morning the light was so nice. I had stopped to take a photo of the Olympics with blueberry bushes and I turned around and saw this. Not a traditional frame, but for some reason, it looked to me like this barn was framed in fall.

Roswell is great at relaxing. We all could learn a lesson from Roswell about playing hard, eating well and relaxing.

11-01-10 Balanced Diet
Mondays are difficult for this challenge. Much work, little daylight, not very balanced. Decided to use my Daily Shoot challenge photo for both challenges today. Believe me I wanted to eat that Snickers, but believe it or not, I resisted... :)
