Pierre was the talk of the school that I visited this afternoon. His family had been involved in a "traffic accident" so Linda, the secretary with a heart of gold, rescued this little guy and plans to nurture him until he is ready to be on the prowl on his own.

700 miles today as we drove from Redding, California past Mt. Shasta, Lassen Peak, Mt. Hood, Mt. St Helens, Mt. Rainier. Beautiful but long day.

One of my favorite things to do is to search for wildflowers. Anywhere really, but the challenge of what looks like an all tan desert is a great place to fine beautiful shapes and color. (Kind of like an Easter Egg hunt.)
