Starting on my 5th year of the 365 Photo Challenge. I am working on some new ways to challenge my self this year. But this beautiful frosty morning was a day to visit one of my favorite places. Kind of like comfort food for the soul. I was looking for a shot similar to the one I took last year of the Olympic Mountains peeking through the clouds across the Puget Sound. When I arrived, it was very foggy and very noisy. I couldn't see the thousands of snow geese, but I sure could hear them. I decided today, with no particular place to go was a great day to practice a little patience. I walked along the dike and waited out the fog. I saw and heard all kinds of great things as I waited. Mount Baker came and went, the Olympics came and went, eagles, herons, swans and geese came and went and the fog floated in and out. Actually took this photo on my way out. I really like the feel of this image.
